We are the high street add value experts.
Our passion is transforming high street assets in a way that most others cannot even conceptualize and bringing them to the use of local and national economy, communities and societies. We work in this niche due to our specialist knowledge of this sector and the vast potential of creativity it offers.
Veer Properties, a specialist high street investment and asset management company, was found by Priya Darshan (PD) Malik in 2018 to address the growing need of repurposing retail and town centre properties. PD Malik has over 20 years of international property experience and has a sizeable personal portfolio of commercial, residential and development land. We have a proven track record of being creative and adding significant value to our projects.
For instance, for our Kenilworth, Warwickshire, The Old Bank Project, we were one of the first ones to file a Retail to Residential PDR application to create 3 smart apartments in just over a 1000 sqft first floor area of a former bank. Now these apartments are popular amongst young renters and command a premium rental. The ground floor is now one of the most loved independent coffee shops of the town too.
Our Horley, West Sussex asset consists of an existing a retail unit with rear store and first floor 3 bed large apartment. Here, we are agreeing a reversionary lease with the commercial tenant for the ground floor only and to take the first floor flat out of their existing lease. In addition, we have also got planning permission for 5 new flats in this high property value area adding a significant value to this asset.

We differ from others siloed advisors (like architects, planners or commercial surveyors etc.) in the sense that we undertake a comprehensive and overall analysis of an asset and tune all its part to ensure that jointly, an asset is optimized to give the best value possible.

- Depending on your specific requirements, we can work with you to improve your assets performance in a way that best suits you. In most cases, if you already own the site then you would usually carry on with the ownership, if you want to, while we are fine tuning your assets performance usually at our own cost risk. We can also help towards your outgoings (business rates etc.) in some cases or in case of owner occupiers, consider a sale and leaseback.
